|Cashmere just had shares in Hughes Hall! Going up again today!
|The dividends were capped at zero. With the level that shares were being traded at, some realignment of the user table was inevitable. Interesting how some people got it right though, looking at the gain list.
|woah, 85k to 63k -- that was unexpected :-o I clearly have shares in all the wrong clubs!!
# God Bumps is SO unfair!
Is that because God is all powerful and therefore always rows over head ?
|God Bumps is SO unfair!
# bumping down counted as
# -10p dividend.
Ouch. Was that with a minimum dividend of 0p, or did people actually lose money ?
|I didn't take fines into account since I have not been sent a copy of the fines from yesterday - I didn't check the rowing message boards, but don't really consider that official for results.
There was a problem with the program that calculated dividends from yesterday - they were done net per college, so bumping down counted as -10p dividend. That has been fixed, so dividends from today will be calculated as per the rules on the site. I will not correct the mistake from today - bumps luck I'm afraid.
# Downing didn't go for the rerow as they had too
# many commitments so wouldn't have been able to
# make it.
Surely you should offer the rerow to the chasing crew, and the one in front should be compelled to show up. If they're not too scared that is. Otherwise why would anybody ever agree to a rerow?
|I'm pretty sure the dividends awarded haven't taken fines into account.
CCAT: Awarded £0.50
M2 :- Excessive bank party = £50
W1 :- Dropping bung = £15
W1 :- Excessive bank party = £50
|They should have 10p. I think some of the other dividends are wrong as well.
My guesstimates at the top were before fines information was available, so they're not entirely correct now.
|Ok, but take for example Homerton. They didn't get fined at all.
Should they get 10p dividend (as at the top of this thread) or 0 dividend (as actually awarded)?
|When a crew bumps, you get 10p in hard cash, and the share price appreciates slightly as well, increasing your net worth.
When a crew goes down, its share price decreases, which hits your virtual net worth, but doesn't actually take money out of your pocket.
|Crews will gain £0.10 per share for each place gained, or rowing over at the head of the 1st division. Crews fined will receive no dividend payout.
Does a place lost count as -1 in places gained, or 0?
# I dont quite understand: I only had shares (and a
# small proportion at that) in one college that
# didnt get more than 0.3 dividend yesterday... what
# happened to my worth :'(
# ho hum
I think most shares were trading above the value they are now so most people have lost some worth. Check out the percentage changes on the users board - very few people have risen in value after dividends.
# Were there really *that* many fines ?
# Otherwise there's a *lot* of missing dividends.
OK, have seen the fines list now. What about the dividends for rowing over head ?
I dont quite understand: I only had shares (and a small proportion at that) in one college that didnt get more than 0.3 dividend yesterday... what happened to my worth :'(
|I have a lot of shares from colleges that went down that I couldn't get rid of before bumps. Unsuprisingly noone wanted them...
|Were there really *that* many fines ?
Otherwise there's a *lot* of missing dividends.
|Chuckles - what's happened to your net value ? You got a load of bad shares or something ?
|Downing didn't go for the rerow as they had too many commitments so wouldn't have been able to make it.
Caius looked quite comfortable last night rowing over head, but is it true that they are losing their blues on friday?
|Different versions of server software between my home machine and the webserver caused a bug.
It's fixed now, and I'm in the process of checking the results before updating the site.
# So waht's the deal with LMBC1 and Downing1?
# Something exiting and controversial I hope!
Apparently Tit Hall bumped Catz at First Post, Downing chased them as they cleared to the outside of the corner and ended up stuck in a pile-up. LMBC (who had closed a bit on Downing already) rowed clean through. The umpires then gave Downing (not LMBC) the choice between a rerow today and a technical rowover. Unsurprisingly they took the easy way out and refused the rerow.

|Sorry, the CCAT/Corpus thing is my bad, it is now corrected. Te lack of results is because there appears to be a bug in the programme. I have messaged Tim about it and hopefully he will fix it.
|Ooh- btw: it seems the bumps chart is wrong: CCAT II have been replaced with Corpus II...
|I hear so... I believe they've both been given technical rowovers, but that may change, i guess.
What's the delay? are we waiting for fines, because i'm not sure they're coming any time soon: we've already been sent the 'Notes'. I'm going to be out all day now, so wont be able to buy anything with my ridiculous amounts of CCAT/Jesus/LMBC dividends :(
|So waht's the deal with LMBC1 and Downing1? Something exiting and controversial I hope!
|For those who can't be bothered to wait for the official dividends, I estimate the following:
0.2 Trinity Hall
